Program Objectives

  1. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree program is designed to prepare individuals for careers in teaching and education-related fields. The objectives of a Bachelor of Education program typically include:

Eligibility:

  1. Candidates holding Intermediate (FA/FSC/l2 Years Education) with minimum 45% or A-levels (22 points) from a recognized board or an equivalent certificate from IBCC Islamabad are eligible to apply.
  2. Candidates holding Associate Degree in relevant discipline with at least 2.00 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 from any recognized university /institution will join from the 5th semester of their degree program. Minimum duration of their degrees shall be 2 years.
  3. Candidates holding Bachelor Degree (14 years of education) with at least 45% marks in annual system or Associate Degree in other than relevant discipline with at least 2.00 CGPA on the scale or 4.00 from any recognized university / institution will join from the bridge semester of their Degree program. Minimum duration of their degrees shall be 2.5 years.

Program objective:

The Bachelor of Studies in Education (4 Years] Program has been crafted to equip the prospective teachers with the basic knowledge and skills of the field of education. The program also equips the students with the content knowledge of the selected disciplines in three streams including:

  1. Biological Sciences
  2. Languages
  3. Physical Sciences

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

  • After completion of the program, the prospective teachers will be able to:
    • Gain in insight of the basic knowledge of education
    • Internalize the conceptual understanding of the selected disciplines
    • Utilize the pedagogic skills in practical teaching
